Improve your paddle time at the M22 Challenge by learning to use your legs and core in the paddle stroke and how to be stable and fast no matter what the conditions.
The clinic is open to all paddlers, you don’t need to have a surfski to learn the basics of good paddle technique.
What: Paddle clinic that will start with dryland discussion and then we’ll get into the water and paddle the course with instruction. We will cover the following:
- Using your legs and core for a powerful forward stroke
- Tips and tricks for staging and getting into the water smoothly
- Cornering around the buoys
- Critical tips for handling choppy water
- How to get back into your boat in 30 seconds or less if you fall out
Where: M22 Event Site on Little Glen Lake

Cost: $75 / $125 if you want to rent a surfski for the lesson (sorry they are not available for the race).
Instructor: Nick Murray has been paddling surfskis for over 17 years. He has been a top 10 finisher at the M22 and top 3 paddler for over 10 years. Nick has completed the Iconic Molokai Challenge in Hawaii and has paddled surfski all over the world. He will be racing in the World Championships this fall in Madeira Portugal.
